FOOTBALL FOUNDATION

The Football Foundation is the UK’s largest sports’ charity. Funded by the Premier League, The Football Association and the Government, the Foundation directs £30m every year into grassroots sport.

The mission of the Football Foundation is to improve facilities, create opportunities and build communities throughout England.

Different funding grants available include:

  • Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund: The Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund provides grants for building or refurbishing grassroots facilities, such as changing pavilions and playing surfaces for community benefit, with money provided by the Premier League, The FA and the Government (via Sport England) and delivered by the Foundation.

  • Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund Small Grants Scheme: The Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund Small Grants Scheme awards grants of up to £10,000 for the provision of capital items, or to refurbish/improve existing facilities.

  • Respect: The FA and Foundation’s Respect barriers and Respect packs (made up of captains’ armbands, marshals’ bibs and Respect Signage) are available to football leagues and clubs to ensure there is good behaviour by players and parents alike in the grassroots game, with money provided by The FA and vouchers supplied by the Foundation.

It is strongly advised that you contact your local FA for discussion around any project before applying. For more information, please visit the Football Foundation website.
