The Feel Good in Hartlepool programme aims to get more people active by increasing participation in triathlon, sailing, multi sports and dance.

It also concentrates on the recruitment of volunteers in order to help the full project become self sustainable long term. Additionally, support is provided to coaches, local clubs and community volunteers.

The programme received National Lottery funding of £192,727 via Sport England which will be invested over a three year period from 2014-2017.

Other financial support – including Public Health funding of £60,000 from the Council – and in-kind backing from partner organisations brings the total value of the project to more than £330,000.

Provision is currently taking place on a weekly basis and delivery for 2016 is soon to be confirmed.
