DANCE 

Dance is a series of steps and movements that match the speed and rhythm of a piece of music and is practiced in many forms and for many reasons, including social, educative, political and therapeutic reasons.

 

The Feel Good in Hartlepool project provides a number of opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to take up dancing in Hartlepool. 

Move to Music

These weekly sessions give people a chance to try a mix of dance and aerobic moves suitable for all abilities.

 

Dancercise

Monday 12:00pm-12:45pm & 1:00pm-1:45pm at Summerhill Country Park

Monday 10:00am-10:45am at Headland Sports Centre 

Friday 12:00pm-12:45pm & 1:00pm-1:45pm at Summerhill Country Park 

Pre booking for these sessions is essential. 

People taking part are encouraged to bring fluids with them and to wear comfortable, suitable clothing.

 

Each session costs £3.00 per person.

Social Dance

The Social Dance includes new sequence dances plus old favourites including Rumba Rosalie, Saunter Together and a selection of Ballroom and Latin.

 

All dancers are welcome from complete novices, singles and advanced dancers. Music and tuition provided by a qualified dance teacher. Come and socialise and meet new friends!

 

Come along to the Borough Hall every Wednesday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and enjoy the atmosphere! It costs just £4.00 per person and refreshments will be provided.

 

The Social Dance also takes place at Brierton Sports Centre every Friday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. It also costs just £4.00 and refreshments will be available.
